I would like to ask the inverse of this question; a company is squatting the domain that is the same as mylastname.com. They just redirect to their main site when you visit this address. How can I get a hold of this domain?

Offer them enough money to let it go.

Buy it from them or wait until expiry, no other option unless you have a trademark from before the domain was registered.
