The thing I was wondering: When I put the stamp on the back of the painting, THAT is something that communicates an intent, actually. It's almost a Hofstaedter (Gödel/Escher/Bach) loop, or a prisoner's dilemma. Or Watzlawick's 'We cannot not communicate.'
- praptak 4y agoI think that "You intended to create a painting, gotcha!" is a lazy dismissal on a technicality. Yes, there are obvious limits to not having anything in mind while doing anything but we can be more charitable when interpreting this. Like "nothing besides the obvious stuff but this disclaimer would make it too long to fit on the stamp" :-)
- hemmert 4y agoThat would make a great new stamp, with lots of fine print and ever shrinking font size ;-)
