If you put a small amount of effort into it, you can get skilled enough at tic tac toe to never make any mistakes, to never end up with a result less than a draw. No amount of improvement will ever give you a better result. Not so with nearly any online game, especially one with as high a skill ceiling as Dota2. You can always get better, there's always room for improvement, there's always someone better than you. If you could get just a little bit better, you will win more games, no matter how good you are.
