I've been waiting a while for this. Curious if it's possible to get it to play nice with a Termux chroot while keeping the Emacs GUI.

  This is exactly what I've been trying to do. I have the CLI emacs installed through termed and nix-on-droid, but I can't get them to share with each other. It's a pity because a huge part of emacs functionality comes from interaction with external programs. I also haven't worked out how to install programs to the gui-emacs namespace through pure emacs commands. I feel that both methods should be possible though.

      Amazing! Maybe in the future they'll build this into the releases, but in the mean time this is exactly what I was looking for. Thank you very much! edit: I realise now that it's better than expected, apart from giving instructions there are also prebuilt packages. You have to trust the packages of course, but the instructions are simple enough and can be done within tmux.
