Ask HN: HN Comment Spam / Attack?

There are all sorts of new accounts posting nonsense to it. I saw this in another thread yesterday. I haven't seen much of this before, at least not so systematic. Is this a GPT thing?

- forgotpwd16 4y agoThey all seem to be posting on the same three threads if you check from their history. GPT or not, seems trained or made to rephrase older HN comments (see: https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=34910204 https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=34910204).
- legrande 4y agoHN is probably just a single basement dweller with 100,000 accounts auto posting stuff using a mix of GPT and comments stolen from Reddit
