In this regime, [x y z w] is an ordinary matrix, while [x y z is_feline_65] is a tensor. I get why it’s more than that, but come on… this is all matrix addition and multiplication. Even transformers and diffusion models. So what is the difference between a filter kernel or soft brush in Photoshop, or an inference model matrix? Easy. People don’t use photoshop with multilayer 80B parameter spraypaint brushes. And justifiably have no idea what most of these words mean.
