Huh. I wore a Series 3 for years (just finally sold it last week) and never had an issue with charging/sleep tracking. I was in the routine of plopping it on the charger for 90 min or whatever as soon as I got home from work. Also, mine would automatically go into “Sleep Focus” (previously “Do Not Disturb”) during sleep time, which muted notifications. Not sure why yours wouldn’t do that.
