Trezor (cryptocurrency hardware wallet, and my employer) also supports U2F and FIDO.
If you use Trezor for FIDO, you can re-create it using the same recovery/seed phrase to re-create your lost Trezor.

- vel0city 4y agoIts a seed value to generate a private key. So its like a password in the same way an SSH private key is a password.
