Is Google (trillion dollar company) really a "soft target"?
- paxys 4y agoTech companies have a lot of money and high valuations but nowhere near the kind of clout enjoyed by more traditional industries (oil & gas, defense, agriculture, media, banks). Most of them can (and routinely do) get away with literal murder without the public batting an eye.
- Nasrudith 4y agoThe public is especially stupid about judging new things. A bit harsh in phrasing but essentially true if you look at Beanie Baby/Tulip manias and moral panics.
