Gotta love critics, they're never at a loss: are AI risk people upset by the endless rise of DL scaling? Then they're "imploding with despair about AGI"! Are they not upset or not doing [thing critic just made up with less than 5 seconds of thought, such as taking out debt or assassinating AI researchers]? Then, as I am told daily on Twitter, they don't really believe any of it after all!
