For me, OODA really clicked when I mapped it to the Weinberg-Satir Interaction Model: Observe -> Intake Orient -> Meaning Decide -> Significance Act -> Response Highly recommend checking out the work of Gerald Weinberg and Virginia Satir. HN people will probably appreciate Weinberg more than Satir as Weinberg was a programmer for NASA back in the day so his books are aimed at technical types.
