Ask HN: PDF reader for reading journal articles on mobile?

I mostly browse the internet on my phone, and have no trouble reading most content. The biggest exception is pdfs, in particular of journal articles. Obviously pdfs are intentionally constrained to display text is a certain way, and when it's optimized for an letter size page it's hard to work with on a phone. I either have to pan back and forth or try turning the phone landscape wise and viewing the page at full width. Has anyone found a tool that makes it easier to view pdfs on the phone? It seems like it would be a common use case.
