I had 8 AM classes last quarter, and my experience with attendance correlates with the study. Poor attendance by the students and droopy eyes in class, though most did well in the course. (Maybe I need to make the material more challenging! :) ) But I'm going to try not to start before 10 AM from now on, though I'm a 6-6:30 AM riser. The 10 AM to 2 PM timeslot seems to cover the most people.
