Ask HN: AI bounties – what do you wish existed?
Inspired by "I'll donate $150 USD to zig and rust foundations as a bounty for respective MIT-licensed implementations of these. Let's keep it simple - scalar instructions, no need for intrinsics/assembly. Ideally there would be some tests." from /u/wyldfire
What AI projects would you like to put up a bounty for? Not just open source things, end user things too.
- tikkun 4y agoI'll donate $500 USD to the group that makes a usable GPT alternative (this : GPT-3.5 :: Stable Diffusion : Dall-E 2) that has a performance (max input+output tokens, latency, text understanding, and instruction following) on par with GPT-3.5
- tikkun 4y agoI'll donate $150 to the group that makes it easy to set up a private local secure implementation of Whisper on my home network, i.e. a separate server that I can easily plug into my home router and then I can send transcription requests to it from my phone or laptop.
- tikkun 4y agoI'll donate $150 to the group that makes a whisper + embeddings search tool for podcasts but that lets me choose the podcast (all the episodes of the chosen podcast) to be uploaded and transcribed.
- andrewfromx 4y agonot saying this will work for all podcasts, but I just recently noticed there is a "transcription" link on all youtube ones. Very easy to parse the html and get it as just text.
- tikkun 4y agoI'll donate $150 to the group that makes a website that lists different companies's terms of service and makes it clear where user data can and can't be used for model training.
- tikkun 4y agoI'll donate $150 to the person who makes a one click setup that allows Monocle (https://www.brilliantmonocle.com https://www.brilliantmonocle.com) to connect to a Whisper implementation running on a server and an iPhone microphone so that I get semi-realtime transcription of what's being spoken, in AR.
