Artcore – a music download site I built
- tomburnell 4y agoHi, At the beginning of 2022 I decided to have a go at building and running my own music website. As a hobbyist producer and DJ, I spent a lot of time browsing and buying music from Bandcamp, Beatport, Juno etc. I felt there was a lot of room for improvement and that's what inspired me to build Artcore. It's a music download platform/marketplace, similar to Bandcamp but with more features to suit DJs and electronic music (although any genre of music is welcome). The areas of improvement include search and metadata, a more full featured player, multiple carts and label/artist royalties. After 9 months of development, I started a closed beta launch at the beginning of the 2023 and I opened it publicly last week. The url is https://artcore.com https://artcore.com. Please check it out! Happy to answer questions about the website and the journey so far and would also love to hear your feedback and suggestions. Peace! Tom :-)
