I'm upgrading a thinkpad (x220) with new monitor and battery and a few more upgrades, so I have an idea of the cost of upgrading
I'm sorry but the price of the upgrades is not that low, how do you get to that total upgrading:
- monitor
- wifi card
- trackpad
- battery
that does not add up
that said, I like the end result, and I'm really curious about the trackpad

- oezi 4y agoI do own a T480 and Lenovo has stopped manufacturing batteries for it. You can get existing stock for horrendous prices or knock-offs.
- znpy 4y agoCan confirm… just bought a thin battery for my x270 and paid about 100€ for an original one, brand new. Worth it though, the x270 is very slim and still featureful.
- flatline-84 4y agoI've upgraded my x220 as well and it's good enough for basic dev work with about 8hrs battery life on the big battery. For the screen, are you using the Nitrocaster mod? I have it sitting here and the new IPS 1080p screen but I kind of regret not going for a 16:10 aspect ratio (which requires cutting the frame around the screen)
