A very large part of why there M:W ratio is different for immigrants than those back in India is also very sexist - parents don’t want to send their daughters abroad alone because… <sexist> reasons whereas the sons all get pushed to try and get out.
- roguecoder 4y agoAlso because American companies take advantage of the H1B process to legally discriminate on the basis of gender. While hiring in America must provide equal opportunities, there is no requirement that American companies not discriminate when sponsoring visas.
