> Despite my knowledge and interest in these areas, I still struggle with simple programming tasks, such as writing a function to determine whether sequence A is a sub-sequence of sequence B, or calculating the magnitude of complexity for a given function. My confidence has been eroded by my mistakes, blunders, and rejections. Sounds like this fellow is a fine software developer but he hasn't taken the time to learn how to play the game. It's clear that part of that game is spending a few hours a day on leetcode in order to prep for interviews, especially if you struggle as outlined. I'm not saying it's right.
