I know this is sarcastic and if you didn't post it first I would have.
The inconsistencies some people have when complaining about regulation, California, and Democrats is just irritating
- junofan 4y agoWhat does a consumer protection bill have to do with regulation?
- megaman821 4y agoRegulation isn't a singular thing. People want more good regulations and less bad regulations. Even when good regulations exist, people want competent enforcement of the regulations. California passes a lot regulations, so there is a lot of red meat for either side of the regulations good/bad arguments.
- themitigating 4y agoRepublicans say they don't want more legislation, not "bad" legislation. Also good and bad are subjective
- megaman821 4y agoYou can't think of a single thing that Republicans want to legislate? Of course good and bad are subjective. That is the whole point, the concept of regulations can't be generally put into a good or bad basket. No one is advocating for absolutely no regulations. You are arguing against a straw man that you made up.
- themitigating 4y agoHow is it a strawman? Republicans constantly talk about their dislike for excess regulation and big government. You need quotes, seriously? Since every politician and person wants good legislation and not bad legislation there's no difference between republicans and democrats. Given that why have Republicans made is a core part of their party. It's like saying "I want what's best for America".
