Also, not chasing people eliminates the need for high-speed chases. Simply show up at their house later.
- ajsnigrutin 4y agoYou have to know who they are, where they live, and they have to be home for this to work.
- psychlops 4y agoDepends on what you mean by "work". If you mean they don't catch the person fleeing, well they don't catch them half the time anyway, a quarter of the time it ends in a collision. https://www.chp.ca.gov/Documents/Police_Pursuits_SB_719_%202020.pdf https://www.chp.ca.gov/Documents/Police_Pursuits_SB_719_%202... They will arrest less people and avoid endangering more bystanders.
