Weather Report
- peatmoss 4y agoBy weird coincidence, I was listening to the band Weather Report when I scrolled past this. Love the ASCII art here—does anyone know where this is pulling its forecast from?
- CharlesW 4y agoWorldWeatherOnline, I believe. https://www.worldweatheronline.com/weather-api/ https://www.worldweatheronline.com/weather-api/
- Awelton 4y agoIt's always bittersweet to see this posted. It is great and I wish more people knew about it, but it also has a daily limit so every time it gets press it runs of of api requests early in the morning and doesn't work again until the next day. He also made this, which is extremely useful: https://github.com/chubin/cheat.sh https://github.com/chubin/cheat.sh
- chlorion 4y agoDo you have more info about this limit? I have never saw that mentioned anywhere and am curious about what the limit is. I use this service to show the current temp and weather with waybar right now and have it set to update on a random interval every so often! I guess I'll check and make sure to do it once every few hours instead of updating every 15-30m if there is a limit!
- Awelton 4y agoSomewhere around a million. It may have already been addressed at some point as I don't remember seeing it for quite a while. https://user-images.githubusercontent.com/2527231/108133933-47e69100-7105-11eb-8e77-7667c235d862.png https://user-images.githubusercontent.com/2527231/108133933-...
- westcort 4y agoThis is cool! I created something like this that works from a static page, so it does not have daily API limits. I also like news with my weather, so that one integrated too: https://www.locserendipity.com/Start.html https://www.locserendipity.com/Start.html
- wkat4242 4y agoCan you also run this in an actual terminal perhaps?
