I don't know if 'resourcefulness' is the right description for trait pg observed. I think 'assertiveness' is more accurate.

  'Assertiveness' is decidedly the wrong word (though it might apply to the specific example that he mentioned). Resourcefulness means that you can do a lot with a little. In the context of this piece, it means you can turn a little advice into a lot of (useful) action.
