You are part of a very small minority. The fact is, the majority of the world can't always be online, and so can't be properly served by always-online applications.
- pocketarc 4y agoFor me, getting on a train in the UK is enough to break almost every app. I’m “technically” connected but signal can be spotty at times, with massive latency spikes and packet drops, and any kind of interaction that depends on the network will stall, which is incredibly frustrating. Every time I’m in that situation (or get on a plane), I’m reminded of the value of local-first software.
