I've used Parasolid in a previous job. OpenCascade may be unstable and limited, but Parasolid can be too depending on your use case. Its not a silver bullet.

With the recent OCCT development trajectory, I'd hesitate to recommend one over the other on the geometry kernel alone. Also people often forget OpenCascade includes an entire visualisation module that FreeCAD doesn't even make use of...
