A fun AI powered home screen pet for productivity
- aasofdev 4y agoSometimes I find myself missing the paperclip character from 2000’s Word. I thought I would build a fun app that offers another companion but this time powered by modern AI(GPT3). Give it a shot and let me know if you can think of any fun features/improvements to add!
- hyperific 4y agoOff to a great start! The design is cute and the UI is intuitive. Couple of things on my wishlist: It'd be great if tapping on the widget opened the app. Subtle animation of the character would make them feel more alive. It wouldn't take much either. Breathing or shifting their weight would go a long way. I'm not sure why adding an item to the to do list consumes an AI token. More interaction with the character would be great too but I understand that comes with a price tag. I think the only time I saw the character speak with my specified personality was in notifications.
- aasofdev 4y agoHey hyperific! Thank you for your feedback, I really like the idea of having the character move/shift weight/blink. As far as AI Token consumption, the GPT3 API is queried at the time of the notification being scheduled, as I was unable to find a way to perform background work at the time of the notification with my framework (Flutter). This may be worth me better explaining to users. I am thinking of more ways that users can interact with the character besides just notifications and will likely base it heavily off user input!
