Sites like twitter and myspace don’t really explode so much as erode. Anecdotally (n=1) my entire social graph left, but I could believe new classes of users were drawn in simultaneously. I have wondered myself whether we will ever get legally-required-to-be-accurate metrics from them again; surely they must factually report the truth to the remaining investors right?
