An instant camera using e-paper as film
- anaganisk 4y agoAnd if only e-paper is cheaper than the latest Instamax camera itself! Man, those things are too costly.
- sowbug 4y agoHas anyone built a virtual printer that prints to a "sheet" of e-ink? I'd use it for recipes while cooking.
- telesilla 4y agoAny reason an e-reader won't work for you in this context? I use mine as a sheet music display. They are very versatile with pdfs and the built-in browser should work for you?
- sowbug 4y agoFriction. Printing is typically three clicks away on an Android phone (share icon, print intent, OK button). Unlikely I'd generate a PDF and sideload it for a recipe I might be cooking just once.
- ericlewis 4y agoRemarkable tablets kinda do this. Similar amount of friction. Would be killer if they just had a built in browser though.
- sowbug 4y agoThe issue I see is that even if Remarkable had a browser, it would be too slow to use for my primary research. So the real friction is that I wouldn't be on the e-reader to begin with. If I could send from my phone to the Remarkable, that would be perfect.
