The information provided is a little sparse but I would consider hiring a person for a fixed term contract of 2-3 months and then use the freed up time to split 50/50 between QA'ing their code (and perhaps picking up some tips and tricks) and studying/MVP'ing. After the 2/3 months is up - Re-Evalute the situation.
