I'm working in a space related nonprofit. The marketing of many startups in the field is quite problematic. I'm biased thought because I prefer to communicate projects that have reached some maturity, but I have to admit that not seeking investor funding may allow such a thing. One may argue that seeking investor funding may play a role to exaggerate your operations, but on the other hand this investors could and should seek better understanding of the technological and operational challeges involved.
