Once they gain an ability to memorize, to observe things and to initiate action autonomically, then sure. I don't think we humans are much more than that anyway. We're very clearly not there yet. There is no "Sydney" other than a character played based on how you word your prompts. It's like an impro artist playing fictional figures they just came up with based on their partner's or audience's prompts.
