Feels like a slap in the face to all of us that spent the last 3 years reliably launching new products. To say the least, it is obnoxious to be talked down to about the 'maybe' performance benefit of the theoretical "hallway conversation." Amazon's teams are globally distributed. We spent the last several years shipping real products all while working with people and teams for whom "a shared hallway" is thousands of miles removed. Sigh. (...Anyone looking for a (remote) senior SDE?)
