Epstein Documents, Fully Searchable
- pphysch 4y agoAccording to these documents, Les Wexner only comes up twice, in the context of two surface-level questions that aren't pursued. Interesting. What a legendary cover-up of the human-trafficking industry this case has been.
- jjtheblunt 4y agoI thought Les Wexner was the sucker who let the fake investment advisor control his portfolio, meaning Epstein, thereby thinking he had a managed professional making investments, when in reality he was being drained gradually of huge amounts of money. (Wexner was a billionaire from mall store empires, so may plausibly not have paid much attention to what his investment firm (Epstein) did?)
- pphysch 4y agoThat's an extraordinary misrepresentation of one of the most powerful figures in the female beauty industry during its heyday in the 1980s-2000s, which is tightly linked with the sex and trafficking industries.
- jjtheblunt 4y agoIt's not MY representation, but what was in documentaries on netflix etc . Good point, though, I do agree it's awfully conspicuous.
- pphysch 4y agoJeffery Epstein: Filthy Rich is one of the most surreal examples of narrative management I've ever seen. It suggests that Epstein singlehandedly had limited sexual encounters with teenage girls, and basically no one else was involved. The producers omit even the role of Ghislane Maxwell, who was later convicted for her role. Les Wexner is dismissed as merely the victim of a homophobic conspiracy theory. It's surreal and I wouldn't trust it for a second to be an accurate portrayal of what Epstein was actually involved in. (FWIW it was based on the book of the same name by novelist James Patterson who lived in Palm Beach near Epstein)
- jjtheblunt 4y agoi don't think i've seen that one, though will look for it.
- pphysch 4y agoAh, that was the first result when I googled "Epstein doc" and I believe I watched it on Netflix.
- celdon25 4y agoCan we get a 2019 on the title? Or was there a typo somewhere - The docs were not 'just released'. Source: https://www.businessinsider.com/epstein-giuffre-v-maxwell-unsealed-thousands-documents-defamation-2019-8 https://www.businessinsider.com/epstein-giuffre-v-maxwell-un...

- mikeyouse 4y agoBelieve it or not - people lie on Twitter all of the time to increase their engagement. The doc she's linking to was published in 2019 by the staff of business insider - you can tell since when you click on the "Related Article" link, it directs you here: https://www.businessinsider.com/epstein-giuffre-v-maxwell-unsealed-thousands-documents-defamation-2019-8 https://www.businessinsider.com/epstein-giuffre-v-maxwell-un...
- TechBro8615 4y agoDon't let it get you down OP, your website is still cool, and if you saw that tweet today then it shows you have a product capable of indexing non-OCR PDF files with little effort! That it's fake news is kinda irrelevant to your product.
- mikeyouse 4y agoRight - it would be an interesting demo without the silly "BREAKING DOCS RELEASE" angle that apparently relies on the twitter account of a realty TV star trying to gin up followers to her OnlyFans..
- kerpotgh 4y ago[flagged]
- sbaiddn 4y agoId rephrase that: Epstein did nothing most of our leaders were doing anyway.
- henriquez 4y agoThe "release" is heavily redacted and is likely a tarpit for conspiracy theorists. There are tons of redactions, missing pages from depositions, "intentionally left blank." There's stuff in there that definitely no one cares about, like one of the victim's school transcripts, or petty assault charges against Ghislaine Maxwell's roommate, but anything substantial is removed from the record, especially pertaining to world leaders (eg. Bill Clinton, Donald Trump) who spent plenty of time on Epstein's jet or hanging out with him at Mar-a-Lago. I spent a good amount of time reading through this release earlier this week and there is practically nothing that wasn't already publicly known years ago. I think the American people deserve answers on why the FBI covered for Epstein and secretly came up with a non-prosecution agreement for his sex crimes in Florida (which were the tip of the iceberg). Or how two prison guards fell asleep at the same time allowing Epstein to supposedly commit suicide. What evidence do we have that Jeffrey Epstein is _actually dead?_ Oh I guess it doesn't matter because now we have swiss cheese court records for one of his flunkies who did get prosecuted. Justice in this country is a myth.
- likeabbas 4y agoWhy is anyone who challenges incomplete information labeled as a conspiracy theorist? The circumstances of Epstein's death are highly suspect and make no sense at all. There are questions that need to be answered
- andrewclunn 4y agoWe are embracing the term, because when everyone is a conspiracy theorist, it won't work to discredit people anymore by calling them that.
- shadowgovt 4y agoIf you ever find that teapot orbiting out beyond Saturn, let everyone know.
- krapp 4y agoI mean, the conspiracy theorists insisted Ghislaine Maxwell was going to be "suicided", there would never be a trial, all this information would be conveniently memory-holed and the media would never cover anything related to Epstein because their globalist controllers would never allow it. Literally everything happening right now goes against the conspiracy theorists' theories. Hell, they were trying to decode secret messages in Democratic Party emails about nonexistent sex dungeons in pizzerias when this broke, Epstein wasn't even on their radar. Now they're insisting they were right about everything all along. They're discredited because their thumbtacks and string bullshit always harms legitimate inquiry and discourse more than it ever helps[0..2]. They're only ever right in the same way a broken clock is. - crosen99 4y agoChatGPT quickly and mightily reshaped my brain. In the past, I would have thought to type keywords into the search box, which is what's expected in this case. Instead, my immediate reaction was to ask natural language questions, which this is app is of course not geared for.
- sv123 4y agoI too fully expected this to be a demonstration of semantic search, with AI in the company name and all.
- Beefin 4y agogreat feedback, we're using mixpeek.com under the hood which doesn't have semantic search for the free version. wanted to whip this up quick and dirty without too much overhead. Disclaimer: i'm the owner of both collie.ai and mixpeek.com

- 0xDEF 4y agoThe "elites are child-trafficking pedophiles" thing was considered to be anti-satanistic hysteria and a conspiracy theory in the 1980s. It all turned out to be true.
- barbazoo 4y ago> The "elites are child-trafficking pedophiles" thing was considered to be anti-satanistic hysteria and a conspiracy theory in the 1980s. > It all turned out to be true. For a miniscule subset of the elite, sure
- ashwagary 4y agoMight not be so miniscule. Other than murder, there are very few ways to reliably blackmail powerful people. In a controlled (private island) and recorded environment (spy cams), one can easily fathom both willing and unwilling (drugged) famous people being put in compromising situations with minors, then waking up to a life where they are easily coerced into doing anything commanded. It reminds me of a semi-recent movie where the head of a media company is kidnapped and made (drugged) to commit sexual acts with a pig on film to suppress potential future negative press coverage of a client. This isn't a new or outlandish concept. Even Dave Chappelle described his Hollywood contract renewal negotiation pre-alleged "breakdown" as analogous to a "fake dead hooker disposal" blackmail scam in one of his standup routines. Certain people are just powerful and protected enough that the only way to get them away from their security detail is to isolate them in a plausably "safe" environment, like a private island.
- threeseed 4y agoNon-elites are child-trafficking pedophiles as well.
- cafard 4y agoBy my recollection of the 1980s, the pedophilia accusations were against people on the level of the McMartins, who were sufficiently un-elite to be running day care centers. But maybe I wasn't reading the right newspapers.

- crorella 4y agoIt seems there are portions of the content which is just a bunch of symbols, at least that's what the results are showing (ie. "±ÆÆßÚ ÔÏ œ ‹± ß±´ Wø™ª ø7ß ÆªøT±7 ¨± 檥1ª™ª ¨Wø¨ ø7ß ÔÎ ±J ß±´Æ \Æ1±Æ ") If I click the associated PDF document, I can see there is legible text, so I think it might be an issue with the ingestion of the document itself.
- Beefin 4y agoahh good feedback, we're using Tesseract under the hood which may not have liked some of the text. What was the query that resulted in that gibberish?
- TechBro8615 4y agoOn mobile (Safari / iOS) it's impossible to enter a query containing a space character, because the <input> field opens the keyboard for typing a URL (with a ".com" key in place of the space bar). I am however able to paste a query including a space into the input field.
- Beefin 4y agoa website shouldn't contain a space though, what are you trying to enter?
- TechBro8615 4y agoWhat? The query prompts me to search the content. I assumed I could search for any string, not just URLs. Is this only an index of websites included in the documents? This is a bug in your site triggered by an incorrect <input> attribute (I don't recall the exact one, maybe "type" - but it affects which keyboard is shown by mobile browsers). - Beefin 4y agooh i misunderstood. i thought you were trying to index a url on the homepage. i just changed the input to a text, so lmk if that fixes it.
- TechBro8615 4y agoNice one! It's fixed now. Thanks, now I can search for "Bill Clinton" without seeing results about his wife :)
- Beefin 4y agohahahaha boom.
- polyglut 4y agoPretty cool, but small suggestion for improvement---maybe add a banner with a TLDR on who killed him?
- MonkeyClub 4y ago> 0 Result(s) for gates Awww... :(
- Beefin 4y agothe Epstein docs were just released: https://www.documentcloud.org/documents/6250471-Epstein-Docs?s=08 https://www.documentcloud.org/documents/6250471-Epstein-Docs... so i want ahead and indexed it all for searchability: https://github.com/esteininger/epstein-docs https://github.com/esteininger/epstein-docs Example query: https://collie.ai/show/epstein?defaultSearch=clinton https://collie.ai/show/epstein?defaultSearch=clinton
- weare138 4y agoStop bullshitting. These documents were released in 2019. Here's the link from the Document Cloud page you're indexing clearly explaining that. https://www.businessinsider.com/epstein-giuffre-v-maxwell-unsealed-thousands-documents-defamation-2019-8 https://www.businessinsider.com/epstein-giuffre-v-maxwell-un...

- anigbrowl 4y agoLink + no context = trolling, FOH with that nonsense. The tweet you linked to goes to a document which is stamped 2019 on every page, and contains exactly zero information about provenance or motion work resulting in a release. If you don't like being called out for BS, show your work.
