This is more broadly a problem with DAs not doing their jobs for "reasons" such as influence peddling by groups that shouldn't be meddling with DAs jobs. To make it even worse, our political critters are bought and sold by NGOs and high moneyed interests thanks to billionaire influence peddlers. We can thank ESG and efforts to reduce racism for the reasons why laws aren't being applied evenly and fairly. Unfortunately this slow boil is what ultimately leads to civil unrest and even wars.
