Core insight: Don’t hook up Rube Goldberg killing machines to prototype language models
- distcs 4y agoOr don't hook up any Rube Goldberg to computer programs without good reason. The same Rube Goldberg machine can be made with your Unix program: [ "$(head -c 1 human-response.txt)" = 'A' ] && do_bad_things So any human that starts their response with the letter 'A' would have to suffer the wrath of the Unix head program! Is this an example of Unix program killing anyone? Or is this an example of misguided humans hooking up the wrong programs to the wrong things?
