Are configs not code? I’ve had tons of config files in code bases. Where would you draw the line?

  For me, config files are variable assignments at runtime that don't require recompiling. If they contain logic/code they become scripts.

    What about languages that are interpreted?

    What do you define as "code?" Terraform has conditionals, loops, etc. Modules act a little like function calls, since they have inputs, outputs, etc.
