There are so many more convenient alternatives to the traditional massive tower for consumer PCs today, yet they are all severely limited by the same issue: modern GPU form factors. I really wish the GPU makers would get a clue and come up with a more flexible standard. I suspect just making the heat sinks modular/swappable would mostly solve the problem.
