- achow 4y agoOpen office is all about big cost saving. The moment there are closed walls and doors, lot of other cost kicks in - individual HVAC vents, plumbing for individual fire sprinklers, wire routing for electric, network etc. Open office also makes it easy to replan office layout without much additional expense - when extra people needs to be accommodated (summer influx of interns, campus hires etc).
- pengaru 4y agoYou left out higher occupant density. Everywhere I've worked with an open floorplan office packed everyone like sardines. Resembles a classroom more than a workplace...
- j7ake 4y agoI would take a significant pay cut to have my own office rather than hot desking in an open office.
