Hopefully, the "stop showing me this ad" feature gets fixed. I'm tired of always being presented with an ad for the "Dixie Store". No, I don't want to shop for Confederate flags and other garbage.
- gjsman-1000 4y agoI'm tired of the ads asking "Are you gay? Take this 10-minute quiz!"
- galleywest200 4y agoOr alcohol ads when you have given up the juice.
- stemlord 4y agoAmazing reason to use an adblocker
- oehpr 4y agoOooof. You may be able to disable that in googles ad choices setting. Assuming you have a google account. To get there, when you see a youtube add, there should be some text in the bottom right, "Ad 1 of 2" and then an information icon, click that. and scroll down the popup and you should see "ad settings" If you don't have an account then I'd really recommend an ad blocker in this circumstance.
- britch 4y agoOne of the best Twitter features was the "ad dislike" It can be done
- tincholio 4y agoI kept getting promoted posts for crypto bullshit stuff, even though I consistently disliked them. I'm not sure there was a proper implementation of that feature in Twitter at all...
- cobertos 4y agoWhy not use an ad blocker? There's no incentive for them to fix it.
- junon 4y agoAd blockers have never worked for me on YouTube.
- cobertos 4y agoMaybe try uBlock origin? It does it for me on Firefox (desktop and mobile). The alternate front ends can be nice too.
- junon 4y agoThat's the one I use. I still get ads.
- HDThoreaun 4y agoAd blockers work for youtube, try other ones.
- jeffybefffy519 4y agoYoutube ads in general are so bad. 25% of them are literal jumping off points for scams and there is no way to report them (there is kind of a way but its convoluted and stupid).
