I'm a little surprised to see the NYT allowing an article in support of a person unjustly accused of transphobia.
Maybe some sanity is returning to the media.
- drekk 4y ago"Unjustly accused of transphobia" I think it's cool how cis people get to determine what is and is not transphobic. Forget about her writing a novel in which the protagonist is a male dressing as a woman to kill people. Forget about her bio-essentialism. Forget about her comment that only women menstruate. Forget about her desire for "biological women only" spaces. Forget about her "I'd march with trans people if they were discriminated against for being trans". Just forget everything because a billionaire said trans activists were mean to her ;(
- jdmtheNth 4y agoShe's not wrong, and disguises are a perfectly valid trope in literature. Grow up.
