I largely agree with the sentiment of the article. For startups, feature tests - and mostly happy paths. Integration tests for anything super complex that you cannot reason in your head easily. The feature test catches everything breaking the happy path. If it breaks, write a spec. If you find yourself manually retesting things, SURE add a test! But 100% agreed, dogmatic TDD will kill your startup.
