Using which equation? I run an 8 year old system76 laptop with a desktop grade CPU and my yearly electricity usage is about 100kwh (I measure pretty much all of our electrical usage), or $35. In my experience, the biggest electricity hog isn't gonna be your CPU, its gonna be your display(s), if you use any. I don't use any external monitors for my work setup.
