- daneel_w 4y agoI've used only Toshiba drives the past 10 or so years. Not a single issue so far, so I'll happily swear by that brand. Currently I use a stack of their L200 2TB 2.5" drives because of how little power they use (<2 watts) and because of not having intermediary flash storage like e.g. Seagate's 2.5" drives do - because I'm convinced that the flash portion is just a liability which will fail sooner than the actual mechanical drive. The L200s are SMR drives so low write speeds (about 25 MB/sec seq. at worst) will occur intermittently if that is a concern.
