Seems faster, always available, subscribed already.
My work wants to buy corporate accounts for all of IT. Speaking with some old coworkers at other companies, their bosses also want to buy corporate accounts for employees.
Just need on-prem versions so we can start checking private data.
- xu3u32 4y agoWhat are ya'll using it for?
- cosmodisk 4y agoI only briefly tested it, however: Salesforce formulas DAX queries Excel formulas Script snippets Text outlines All sorts of things that aren't necessary difficult per se, however people often have to refer to the docs to do them( regex anyone?) The main point is that people need to know the underlying stuff,so they can do a prompt, glance at the result and fix it of necessary. Definitely not like some are dreaming where 20 dollar subscription replaces entire marketing departments.
- IronWolve 4y agoeverything from code checks, looking up errors, describing api, quick powershell/python scripts, many non programmers now writing code, lots of tech questions, documentation. Some want to start using it to look at some data, so prob going to spin up a group to see how the company can use it. Also some want it for analytics. Already got some openai api usage for commercial apps that support it, in beta testing.
- gtirloni 4y agoConsidering ChatGPT is probablistic, don't you fear it's giving you almost correct answer for critical things like a code check or the latest API specification? Do you double check it against sources? If so, isn't that twice the work?
- cloudking 4y agoYou can get a private instance of the GPT 3.5 API running on Azure, not exactly on-prem but possibly meets compliance. https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/products/cognitive-services/openai-service#features https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/products/cognitive-service... However, you would still need to build your own chat interface around the API.
