Haha, I am a developer. Do you know how many projects I’ve worked on where the tech lead said “thou shalt write a week’s worth of boilerplate cruft per each new feature” just to make sure the codebase adheres to the pattern? Anybody who does that and pretends they’re being “productive”… is hurting my feelings. If I could do the work of even two developers, I’m definitely getting paid. I think software engineering is headed for a John Henry moment.
