  ...huh. Can't say I would have ever thought to run ChromeOS of all things on a microcontroller but I guess that's neat.

  Bad headline. It doesn’t run on microcontrollers or zephyr. They just use zephyr for the RTOS on the embedded controller that runs the keyboard, usb-pd, and mouse. Previously a homegrown RTOS was used

  Still cant run chromeos in virtualbox or vmware, very strange.

    You can — with an older version of CloudReady — but since the pivot to Chromeos Flex, no.
