Pro-nuke people were pretty stoked for Olkiluoto/Flamanville/Hinkley Point too and that didn't work out so well despite being a much more proven technology and form factor. I think it's way to soon to consider SMRs a solution to demand for green energy, right now it's more like a big experiment with highly uncertain outcome.
