*for wealthy folk who were spending $30K+ on a car anyway
Pretty much what I expected to see, nothing much under $30,000 talked about & as always nothing in the actually affordable sub $20K price range. Plus the usual talk of $7,500 in tax credits that won't benefit the average American who doesn't make enough to make use of them.
Its hard to see EV's going anywhere for the masses if they continue to require six digit home incomes to be affordable.
- hindsightbias 4y ago“Gasing” up at $0.50/kW supercharger isn’t going to be that affordable either.
- credit_guy 4y agoThe average price of electricity in the US in December 2022 was $0.16/kWh [1]. [1] https://www.bls.gov/regions/new-york-new-jersey/news-release/averageenergyprices_newyorkarea.htm https://www.bls.gov/regions/new-york-new-jersey/news-release...
- lttlrck 4y agoParent said "supercharger" - average cost is lower at $0.25 Electrify America is $0.31 to $0.43 Residential, at least in CA, charge off-peak 9pm or you're going to be paying quite a bit more than $0.16
