I'm getting so tired of it. I just want to find a place where I can put in good work with kind, collaborative people, not be nervous all the time, and actually get things done without tons of bureaucracy like a big company. I'm ok if it's not the best paid thing out there.
- ghaff 4y agoYou're a lot more likely to find stability with a big company than some small business much less a startup.
- davidw 4y agoLike, Google, Meta, Microsoft, etc...? Snark aside, yes, that's true to some degree. It's also stifling to not be able to get stuff done.

- ghaff 4y agoBecause government is so well-known for not being bureaucratic? I'm being a bit snarky. I've known people who mostly liked working for a national lab but, like academia, it's not really a panacea.
