- lifeisstillgood 4y agoI'm think it's a meta joke - Therac-25 (https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Therac-25 https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Therac-25) was a radiotherapy machine from the early 1980s and is (in)famous for having software failed and killed I think dozens of people. It's become a well known case study, but it's highly unlikely anyone on HN worked on it - I think that's the joke.
