I've worked with consultancies many times in my career. I have never seen them deliver good value for the dollars they cost. Never. This is at multiple levels, from low-level IC, to strategic high-level IC and mid-management. At every level within an org they haven't delivered value from my perspective. Maybe if I were a CXO I'd feel differently.
